The Music Operating System

Since 2006, we’ve been turning our love for music into a rocketing business by putting our tech to good use – helping create a healthy music industry which is able to last forever. Our purpose has shone through our work and our mantra “What plays around will come around” has spearheaded our story throughout.

We’ve created a vast portfolio of services, grown key partnerships, and gathered a fair amount of music and ownership data – 500 years worth to be exact. We’ve been fuelled by our hunger to better the music ecosystem.

The music industry is going through an exciting time, it’s in bloom. We’re seeing more creations and transactions than ever before. Last year we saw the global recorded music market grow for the 6th year in a row by 7.4% and 30 songwriters on one track is no longer something to sing home about.

Music’s growth means more creators need to get paid more royalties. To make sure creators of the music we love are paid what they should be, we believe the industry must be seamlessly connected by a foundational system. A platform that pumps neutral rights data to all players to keep them seamlessly in sync. An intelligence that connects the underlying elements – technology, data, and people – that need each other to create value in music.

We’re the Operating System for the Music Industry.

We’re still as colourful as ever.

Our Music Operating System is connected to over 50,000 copyright owners and helps distribute more than 2 billion dollars every single year, supporting a fair and happy music industry. It’s developed by a team of music-loving engineers and is constantly fed by authoritative data from our partners. It’s constantly enriched and meticulously supervised by our team of experts.

We help all different companies in the music industry better their data operations to make sure artists get paid for their plays. Every day we deliver 27 billion matches and 80 million identifications to CMOs, publishers, record labels, broadcasters and DSPs globally.

Upon our Operating System we’ve built apps to meet the needs of all music industry players – from collecting societies to digital services, and everything in between. They use our apps – and the technology, data and platform behind them – to simplify complex processes and help creators get paid for every play.

Just like computers run on an OS, the music rights industry runs on us.

If you’re part of the music value chain, plug into our system now.
